A New Beginning

Welcome!

Well, I've done it. I've gone ahead and started a blog. Why? That's a very good question (hehe) and the answer is simple. It was time...and, I was bored.

Life has been crazy and I've struggled with depression on top of being a mother. Motherhood alone has many challenges, but pairing that with a world pandemic and creative block, it's been tough.

Camp National Novel Writing Month is coming up. I love doing month long challenges like NaNo. Writing a book in a month? Sure, how bout 6 years? (sigh) I started National Novel Writing Month probably in 2014. I did well, finishing about 3/4's of a story and I planned to publish it, but somewhere along the line, I put that story down. I intended to go back to it, but so far it remains dust laden and dispersed among a pile of papers hidden between sheets in my own art storage. Yikes.

Since then, I've been working on an idea that has evolved over the years. I have twenty or so started novels on my computer with the same general premise. It's time I finish it. Hence, the blog.

I need accountability. Also, I wanted to explore new ways of creativity. I hope you will enjoy my journey as I try and finish writing my book. I hope you will enjoy my art because that has been my escape (besides gaming) over the years. Heck, I'll even throw some slice of life because who doesn't want to know the juicy details of a creative mama? (insert winky face here)
