Another Friday already! Holy sheeps, time flies. This Friday I wanted to work on a couple of things. Ghostbusters was popping into my head a lot, but ultimately, Oz and Theodora won out in the end.

When I first saw this movie, it was in theatres on one of the last showings. The theatre was empty and I was still living in Ontario. My sweetheart was visiting me for the weekend. We decided to check out the movie. My sister also wanted to see the movie so she tagged along. Don't worry, she wasn't a third wheel. Haha.

I remember clearly. We had our popcorn and we descended the old dusty stairs into the cinema. My sweetheart gasped and pointed to the only other couple in the theatre.

"Dammit!" He exclaimed in a French Canadian accent. "Those are the two seats I wanted to sit in!" My sister, who is normally awkward in groups bigger than two people, burst out in laughter. It was a good start to the movie.

The movie itself was fun. I enjoyed the transition from colourless Kansas to bright and vibrant Oz, but my favourite character, if had to choose, was Theodora. At first, she seemed so naive, and when she fell into the charms of Oz, I didn't know exactly how it would end. In the original movie, Oz didn't exactly have a life partner.

As the movie continued, I did understand Theodora's transition and I was came out of it dismayed. Poor Theodora! I wanted a happy ending. She meets Oz. He's not totally committed but she grows on him and they happily ever after. No. That's not what happens. Instead, Oz ends up with Glinda? *sniff sniff* Why is it always the good girls? haha

Ah well. I still enjoyed the movie and here's my take at Oz and Theodora.

Hey you! Thank you for checking out my blog! Have a wonderful weekend you fantastic human you!
